PETG Polyethylene terephthalate glycol modified is high impact resistant copolyester that is a clear amorphous thermoplastic.
PETG is a clear amorphous thermoplastic that can be injection molded or sheet extruded. It can be colored during processing.
PETG sheet is a thermoplastic sheet used in engineering applications widely. PETG offers the capability to produce very difficult and complex shapes, precise and fine details, deep draws and compound curves without worrying about durability. It's easily formed, die-cut and punched. It brings increased design freedom and lower fabrication costs. In sheet form, PETG has the impact strength and fabrication ease with the durability to significantly reduce packaging and shipping costs. PETG offers extreme clarity and light transmission in combination with a high gloss surface finish. PETG sheets have very good impact resistance even at low temperatures. PETG has outstanding thermoforming properties, short production cycles, extreme draw ratios and good mould reproduction without the need for pre drying.
PETG can be semi-rigid to rigid, depending on its thickness, and it is very lightweight. Unlike other plastics, its polymer chains can be use makes a good gas and fair moisture barrier, as well as a good barrier to alcohol and solvents. It is strong and impact-resistant. It is naturally colorless with a high transparency.

Combined with the chance to remove any surface scuffs with just a hot air blower before shipping the finished article makes PETG a perfect cost-saver.
